OUR MINISTRY OF WORSHIP Our purpose as St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ is to proclaim through our individual and united actions and words that we are a family of believers in God’s love and saving grace as expressed and taught by Jesus Christ. The focus of our church life is activities which will capture this spirit of Christian faith. The Word of God in scripture is central in our worship. Our worship service is enhanced by our Adult Choir, Bell Choir, and other special. The children’s message is an important part of our worship service and we strive to be an inclusive congregation for all ages.

OUR MINISTRY OF FELLOWSHIP
Highlights of the fellowship life at St. Matthew’s include activities for all ages. Our Women’s Guild meets the second Tuesday of the month. Our Youth Group meets each week for various activities and take yearly camping trips that feature outdoor activities that focus on God's creation. Bible Study meets at a local restaurant every Tuesday at 10 a.m. and Thursday evenings at the church. Senior Sessions meet each month. They are involved in various community services and take several day trips to shows and other areas of interest. OnWord is our new casual service which is held the last Sunday of each month. There are refreshments available before, during, and after. We hold monthly congregational activities such as Covered Dish suppers, Game Nights, and other gatherings which contribute to the informal and family-like atmosphere of our church. In the summer we hold a Sunday Funday, Hymn Sing and Intergenerational Sunday School. Our annual Chicken Barbecue is held the last Saturday in April and each October there is a Women's Guild Bazaar with Apple Dumplings, Pie, and Soup for sale.
